Basketball player from Rytas Vilnius system, well known to the fans of the capital, returns to his hometown. Next season, 24-year-old Margiris Normantas will play in Vilnius and will wear his Rytas jersey again after two years.
“First of all, I feel great because I feel like I’m back home. Whatever it was in the past, I am now returning differently, with more experience and a desire to help the team.
With my aggression and enthusiasm, I will help teammates and fans to get going. I hope we find our game on the team and be like one fist. I also wish the fans to never give up and be with that one fist together. Your support is very important to us,” said M.Normantas about returning to Rytas.
In the EuroCup, last season Normantas averaged 11.9 points, adding 2.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists per game.
In the 2020-21 Lithuanian Basketball league season, Normantas won the most improved player of the year award.
