Toronto Raptors guard Jalen Harris has been dismissed and disqualified from the NBA for violating terms of the anti-drug program, according to Shams Charania.

Harris will miss next season and he is able to apply for reinstatement in one year.

The NBA’s drug policy applies to players who test positive for drugs of abuse, as marijuana is not included on the list anymore.

Harris is coming off a rookie season where he played 13 games and averaged 7.4 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game in 13.2 minutes per game.

The 22-year-old had his best game on May 14 when he scored 31 points against the Dallas Mavericks.

The last player to be dismissed from the league for violating its anti-drug program was Tyreke Evans in 2019.

Evans, 31, can apply for reinstatement this year if he chooses.
