Ukraine’s Minister of Sport Ihor Zhdanov said Ukraine will not make a bid to host Eurobasket in 2017 due to the ongoing political and the financial crisis in the country.
It is rumoured that Zhdanov will meet with Ukrainian Basketball Federation president Oleksandr Volkov at some point to see if there are still chances, but it is very unlikely that Ukraine will try to host the tournament in 2017.

Zhdanov: I meet w/Oleksandr Volkov, if he manages to find off-budget sources of finance, we'll help him. But it's almost impossible for 2017

Ukraine were originally supposed to host this year’s Eurobasket but due to the ongoing political issues in the country were forced to pull out.
France, Germany, Croatia and Latvia are all hosting the tournament instead.
Ukraine will be based in Riga, Latvia for Eurobasket, where they will play Lithuania, Belgium, Estonia, Czech Republic and hosts Latvia in Group D.
