Utah Jazz season came to an end after a second-half collapse in Game 6 of the series against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Jazz superstar Rudy Gobert tried to reflect on the Utah’s four consecutive losses after taking a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference semifinals series.

(via Eric Walden of Salt Lake Tribute):

“Obviously, we had higher expectations than losing in the second round. Losing 4 in a row is something we didn’t do during the season. … You try to ask yourself the right questions about what we can do so it stops happening,” the Frenchman said during season-end media availability.

There wasn’t much to make after the Jazz’s collapse in the last four games of the series, especially with Kawhi Leonard being out for the last two games with an injury.

The Clippers attacked Rudy Gobert with the small-ball lineup of Paul George, Terance Mann, Reggie Jackson, Marcus Morris and Nicolas Batum.

That lineup purged Utah’s defensive plan, as Gobert had to choose between guarding the perimeter and hovering near the basket.

‘The problem is, if I don’t come and help, we give up layups. … The gameplan was for us to let Terance Mann shoot rather than letting Reggie Jackson or PG get layups. We tried to adjust with full rotations. They played perfectly on almost every possession,” Gobert claimed.
