Portland Trail Blazers could not get past the Denver Nuggets in the NBA Playoffs first round series as they are preparing for an interesting offseason.

The Blazers’ season came to an end after a disappointing defeat to the Nuggets at Moda Center on Thursday, and Jusuf Nurkic is uncertain on what the future holds for him and the franchise.

“I got a non-guaranteed contract,” Nurkic said. “I don’t know if I’m going to be back. I’m going to leave that to Rich Paul, my agent. We’ll see what’s going to happen.

As far as right now, I’m just going to get away from basketball and see what my next step should be. We’ll see what’s going to happen. I’m not sure if I’m coming back or what’s team direction is. We’ll look at that later.”

It’s unclear what Nurkic meant with this statement, however, the Blazers are not expected to let the center from Bosnia just walk, per Aaron Fentress of Oregon Live.

Regardless, change is coming for Portland after their first round exit as the franchise had loftier expectations this season.
