The NBA season has just ended for the Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James but there is a major basketball tournament taking place this summer – 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games where Team USA is set to defend its title.
James, who represented his country in three Olympics through 2004-2012, winning bronze and two gold medals, was asked about his plans for the summer after Game 6 against the Phoenix Suns.
“I think I’m gonna play for the Tune Squad this summer instead of Olympics,” he said referring to Space Jam New Legacy movie which is set to debut in July. “I think that’s my focus on trying beat the Monstars or the Goon Squad, we call them now.
“Didn’t have much success versus Suns so now I am gearing my attention to the Goon Squad here in mid-July. Let the ankle rest for about a month and then I’mma gear up with Low LaTaz, Granny, Bugs and the rest of the crew. Hopefully see y’all at the match.”
