Sports analyst Shannon Sharpe thinks that the Los Angeles Clippers lost their last two regular season games on purpose in order to pick their opponents in the playoffs. The losses meant that the team lost the battle for number three seed in the Western Conference and finished fourth.
According to him, the Clippers wanted to avoid either the Lakers or the Blazers and get the Mavericks. “They tanked their last 2 games to either avoid the Lakers or the Blazers,” Sharpe said on UNDISPUTED. “Let’s be real, they’d rather face the Mavericks. We saw what the Clippers did, everybody knows what they did.”
Jared Dudley shared similar thoughts, saying it was funny to see “a lot of teams” “manage” their last two regular season games to avoid the Lakers.
