Pau Gasol could not miss Kobe Bryant’s induction to the Basketball Hall of Fame on Saturday. FC Barcelona big was in attendance to watch his former Los Angeles Lakers teammate getting into the basketball pantheon.
He offered his congratulations, saying, “We all wished you and Gigi were here brother, celebrating your unparalleled career and receiving such an amazing honor. We all love you and miss you more than words can express.”
Bryant played with Gasol from 2007-08 through 2013-14 and won back-to-back championships. They also had one more Finals appearance.
During Saturday’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony, Bryant’s wife Vanessa Bryant gave a powerful and emotional speech alongside Michael Jordan.
