Pau Gasol and his family are close to Kobe Bryant’s family, after the tragic passing of the Los Angeles Lakers’ legend last January. Gasol shared a heartfeit message for his teammate and friend in the day of what it would be his 42nd birthday.
“With tears in my eyes today… I just wish so badly that you were here celebrating your bday with your girls and family. I miss you and Gigi so much brother. I will always be thankful for how much you have impacted my life in so many different ways,” Gasol wrote on Twitter under a picture of him and Bryant.
Kobe and Gasol won two NBA titles together with the Los Angeles Lakers and remained close friends, after Gasol’s departure from the LA’s franchise.
