After sitting on the bench for three games, Marc Gasol missed another opportunity to play for the Los Angeles Lakers, this time in their recent loss to the Toronto Raptors.

The 36-year-old Spanish center accepted a reduced role after the team signed free agent Andre Drummond. Gasol’s teammate Kyle Kuzma then publicly congratulated him for staying with the Lakers.

Following the defeat to the Raptors, Kuzma expressed desire for Gasol to get more opportunities to play. “I’m not sure what to do. I wish we could get a little bit more time out there with Marc (Gasol). That’d be something that would be pretty good for us, for sure,” he said, per Jovan Buha.

This season, Gasol, who won the NBA championship in 2019 with Toronto, is averaging 5.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2 assists per 19.2 minutes per game.
