The Sacramento Kings are signing center Damian Jones for the rest of the season plus the 2021-22 season, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

The team will also waive forward Chris Silva.

Jones was previously on two 10-day contracts with the Kings.

The 25-year-old has played 28 games this season for the Phoenix Suns (14 games), Los Angeles Lakers (eight games) and Kings (six games).

In those six games (two starts) with the Kings, Jones is averaging 3.8 points and 3.7 rebounds per game in 15.5 minutes per game.

He recently had two of his best games on April 21 and April 26 when he recorded eight points and eight rebounds and then eight points and seven rebounds, respectively.

The Kings will still have one open spot on their 15-man roster that can be used for a 10-day contract or a contract for the remainder of the season.

Big man Chimezie Metu is a possible candidate to have his two-way contract converted to a standard contract, notes Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee.
