Mike James made his first appearance with the Brooklyn Nets after parting ways with EuroLeague powerhouse CSKA Moscow.

The scoring guard explained the reasons behind the clash between him and CSKA’s coach Dimitris Itoudis, which resulted in his departure from the Russian capital.

(via Eurohoops):

“…with Itoudis, some things happened in my personal life and I felt like stuff didn’t go how I thought somebody should handle my situations. We had a little clash there. Not really as a basketball player did I have a clash with Itoudis more as an individual. We are two men who had a clash outside the basketball court.”

James was suspended twice during the EuroLeague regular season on January and March. The veteran guard made his return to the NBA signing with the Brooklyn Nets.

In his first game with his new team, James remained in the court for 21 minutes registering eight points, two rebounds and two assists in the win vs. the red-hot Boston Celtics.
