The New Orleans Pelicans are signing Brazilian swingman Didi Louzada to a multiyear deal, according to ESPN’s Olgun Uluc and Andrew Lopez.

Louzada was drafted by the Pelicans with the No. 35 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

The 21-year-old has spent the last two seasons with the Sydney Kings in Australia’s NBL.

In 20 games this season, Louzada averaged 8.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game in 24.1 minutes per game.

In one of his recent games, Louzada scored 28 points on 6-of-7 shooting from three-point.

He averaged 10.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game in 22.8 minutes per game in the 2019-20 season.

The Pelicans have until April 27 to sign another player to their roster after Isaiah Thomas‘ 10-day contract recently expired and Louzada’s contract could reportedly be finalized around that date.

He recently arrived in the United States on the morning of April 18, notes Uluc and Lopez.
