Juan Carlos Navarro will be promoted to FC Barcelona general manager position, according to Mundo Deportivo (hat tip to Eurohoops). The Catalans will replace Nacho Rodriguez with the EuroLeague and Barca legend today.
Navarro remained within the FC Barcelona organization after concluding his exceptional basketball career in 2018. Nacho Rodriguez has been the club’s GM since 2017.
FC Barcelona finished with the best record in the EuroLeague’s regular season, and they are preparing to face eighth-placed Zenit Saint-Petersburg in a best-of-five series.
At the same time, the Catalans are second-placed in the ACB, only behind their rivals Real Madrid.
