The Los Angeles Lakers dropped to the fifth place in the Western Conference following a loss to the city rivals the Clippers (86-104). After the game, Frank Vogel, the head coach of the reigning NBA champions, addressed the defeat.
“Credit to Clippers defense,” he said. “They got up into us and we didn’t handle their pressure well enough at all. And when we did, we had tough shooting night at the rim, missed 9 layups, 21 shots in the paint. And obviously a tough shooting night at the three-point line as well.
“We just got to play through their their pressure and physicality more better than we did tonight. We’ll get back to the drawing board tomorrow, look at the film and improve for next game.”
