Golden State Warriors’ forward Kelly Oubre Jr. will be an unrestricted free agent after the end of the season. Golden State reportedly had strong offers for the dynamic forward at the trade deadline.

However, the Bay Area franchise opted to keep Oubre, as the team is trying to return to the postseason. After the blowout loss to the Kings, Oubre addressed his future with the Warriors.

(via ESPN):

“I can’t speak for the future, brother,” Oubre said. “You keep asking me questions like I’m a psychic. But at the end of the day, I’m growing, I’m honing in on my skills in this league and I can offer a lot more than coming off the bench.

With Golden State expecting Klay Thompson to be back next season, Oubre will have to come off the bench, if he remains with the Warriors.

“I would love that,” Oubre said on the possibility of re-signing with the Warriors. “At the end of the day this is a business, we got through one step, the next step is giving my all to this team so we can reach our goals this season. And then this summer that’s another step so I’m just kind of in the moment right now. I’m here. I’m a Warrior.”
