The era of the Toronto Raptors team that won the NBA championship in 2019 is coming to and end. Star point guard Kyle Lowry is expected to be moved before the trade deadline with multiple teams expressing interest in him. He admitted that he does not know where he will continue his career after the Raptors defeated the Nuggets last night to end their 9-game losing streak.
“I don’t know. I wish I could give you an (answer),” Lowry said, per Josh Lewenberg. “At the end of the day I’m going to have a decision and work it out and if something happens it happens, if it doesn’t it doesn’t. Everything happens for a reason. Right now, I don’t know.”
After the win, his teammate Pascal Siakam was also asked about the coming changes to the team’s roster. “That’s the NBA,” Siakam said, per ESPN. “There’s a lot of doubt going on, but there’s not much you can do. It’s kind of out of your control.”
The Raptors are currently in the 11th place in the Eastern Conference with 18 wins and 26 losses.
