The Charlotte Hornets rookie LaMelo Ball is exceeding expectations. The number three pick of the 2020 NBA Draft is adjusting to the league rather quickly as he is averaging close to 20 points per game over the last two months. He also had a couple of 30+ point games during that period.
One of the people behind bringing Melo to Charlotte was the NBA legend Michael Jordan. It seems the relationship between the two is smooth as Ball revealed he addresses MJ as “Unc.”
“Unc” should be satisfied with the decision to draft the youngest of the Ball brothers. This season, LaMelo is averaging 16 points, 5.9 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game.
Aside from being a front-runner to win the Rookie of the Year award, he is helping the Hornets stay in the playoff picture. With 20 win and 20 defeats, Charlotte occupies 7th place in the Eastern Conference.
