Zion Williamson is one of the most promising young players in the NBA. The 20-year-old forward of the New Orleans Pelicans was selected for this year’s All-Star Game while still being a sophomore.

Williamson revealed that he was shocked a little bit when he found out about the selection. “It was with my mom. I was coming back home from the practice facility after getting Covid tested. It was like ‘yeah, you’re an All-Star’ and I’m like ‘wow, me?'” Zion said.

“Of course my phone was ‘ding ding ding ding ding.’ It’s a lot to take in for sure. The best thing I can do right now as my parents told me, enjoy the moment, don’t let the moment pass without me at least enjoying it. So I’m going to enjoy it moment by moment.”

The Pelicans’ young star will be on Team Durant, captained by Kevin Durant. This season, Williamson is averaging 25.6 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.
