Montrezl Harrell had the game of the season as he had 26 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks in just 23 minutes of play. With less than 6:46 minutes left to play in the fourth quarter, the 27-year-old center was put on the bench and wasn’t brought back in the game again even though the game went to overtime. The Lakers lost the game 124-127.

After the game Harrell was asked how he felt about being benched during the crucial period of the game. “It’s not really up to me man,” he said.

“I just do it’s asked of me to man. I’m out there on the floor the minutes that I’m out there on the floor I might go 110 percent give them my all into that until whistle blows and myself coming into the game. As far as closing out this game, like I said, that’s neither here nor there man.”

With three losses in the last three games, the Lakers dropped to the third place in the Western Conference tying the Clippers’ record of 22 wins and 10 losses. The fourth-placed Suns are getting closer with a 20-10 record.
