The Los Angeles Lakers will be among the teams to pursue DeMarcus Cousins, according to Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer.

The market will reportedly be limited for Cousins, as he returned this season from multiple major injuries in the last few years.

The Lakers have a need for some frontcourt depth with Anthony Davis likely out for a few more weeks.

In a surprising move, it was announced that the Rockets would part ways with Cousins in the coming days via a trade or releasing him, as the Rockets want to go smaller and younger in the frontcourt.

The franchise recently guaranteed his salary because the front office “appreciates his professionalism and how he went about his business,” according to Mark Berman of KRIV-TV in Houston.
