DeMarcus Cousins has not yet found a place to continue his career after getting waived by the Houston Rockets at the end of February.

One of the teams that has reportedly shown interest in signing the center was the Los Angeles Lakers that are looking to add size under the basket. Most recently, it was reported that the reigning NBA champions are after Andre Drummond.

However, Cousins might still end up with the Lakers. According to Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson, the LakeShow still maintains interest in the four-time NBA All-Star. The 30-year-old center was on the Lakers roster for the first half of the 2019-2020 season. Though he hasn’t played a single game due to a season-ending injury.

Boogie averaged 9.6 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game for the Rockets this season prior to getting waived. His stats as well as his playing time were gradually improving since the beginning of the season.

“Folks that I have spoken with within his circle have shared there’s a multitude of teams,” Robinson said on Betting Around The Rim. “He has a relationship with the Los Angeles Lakers being on that roster, did not play much. He still maintains a relationship with Anthony Davis who he was a teammate with during their days with the New Orleans Pelicans. He’s still very close with Lakers assistant coach Phil Handy.”
