Golden State Warriors’ head coach Steve Kerr expects Draymond Green to be available Friday in the game against the Orlando Magic.

Green was ruled out by the Warriors prior to the game against the Heat with soreness in his right ankle. According to Kerr, Green could be back in the team’s lineup by Friday.

(via NBC Sports):

“I told him, ‘Don’t be a hero if it’s hurting you. Sit it out, let’s get you right so you don’t end up missing four or five games,'” Kerr told reporters. “I think he was very honest with himself and with us, and he came back in and said, ‘I probably shouldn’t go.'”

The Warriors are shorthanded in the front court right now with Kevon Looney and James Wiseman out, so the Warriors had to go really ‘small’ against Bam Adebayo and the Miami Heat.

The Warriors got an important 112-120 win in overtime vs. the Heat that puts them closer to the Top-6 of the Western Conference. They play the Orlando Magic Friday at the start of a four-game road trip.
