The Los Angeles Lakers had three overtime games in a row. LeBron James averaged over 43 minutes a game helping the Lakers win all three of those overtime games.

The last time the Lakers played three overtimes games in a row was 30 years ago. Back then, James Worthy was on the roster and he knows first hand what the experience is like.

The three-time NBA champion talked about what it is like to be a part of such games and what impact it has on James. Even though LeBron says he never gets tired, Worthy sees signs that fatigue is setting on him.

“His mind is built to play. He doesn’t really look at minutes,” Worthy said on Spectrum SportsNet. “I’m a little bit concerned. 40+ minutes creeks a lot of body fatigue, he’s tired. He’s able to do it. He puts a lot of preparation to his body.

“He comes out night after night and does his job without AD, without Caruso. He just continues to step up. But 40+ minutes you feel that, you feel that over time. Particularly a few 40-minute games in a week. He left the arena early in the Oklahoma game, no media. He’s a little tired. I think he’s ready to get home and go to bed.”
