Frank Vogel Vogel opened up about Wesley Matthews and Markieff Morris having no playing time against the Boston Celtics.

Vogel, the head coach of the Lakers, explained that Matthews and Morris didn’t play, because he decided to make changes to the rotation.

However, he admitted this was a difficult decision, since both Matthews and Morris have played very well on both ends this season.

“Vogel said he went to the 9-man rotation to try and get guys that played a better rhythm, so Matthews + Morris were the odd men out.

Vogel said it’s a tough call, because both are good players that deserve minutes, but they wanted to look at it. It’s not permanent, he added,” Mike Trudell of Spectrum Sportsnet report.

Even without Matthews and Morris, the Lakers survived a late thriller against rivals Celtics (96-95).
