Eastern Conference leaders, the Philadelphia 76ers, made an early statement this season by taking down the defending champions Los Angeles Lakers. The successful start of the season gave rise to talks about the Sixers making it to the NBA Finals.

Former NBA player Jay Williams has his doubts about such possibility. “I just don’t trust Joel Embiid,” he said. “He is having an incredible season and is in my MVP conversation.

I just wonder about his durability when stuff gets tough. When it comes time to make a play… But there’s something about this team, just feels like they are lacking that leadership and that success.”

According to him, there are two other teams that have better chances of coming out of the East. “I feel like right now if I would bet my money I would be on the Brooklyn Nets and the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference Finals before the Philadelphia 76ers in that conversation,” Williams revealed his favorites.
