Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis will miss the team’s game against the Detroit Pistons on Jan. 28 due to a right quad contusion, the team announced.

Davis was previously listed as questionable earlier in the day.

This is the second game of a back-to-back set.

It will be Davis’ third missed game of a back-to-back this season and he has played in both games of a back-to-back just once so far this season.

Davis just played over 34 minutes in the Lakers’ last second 106-107 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Jan. 27.

In 17 games, the 27-year-old is averaging 21.9 points, 8.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.9 blocks per game.
