LeBron James had 34 points, but it wasn’t enough for the Los Angeles Lakers to defeat the Philadelphia 76ers. It was the first road loss of the season for the defending NBA champions, which saw them slip to the second place in the Western Conference.

After the game, James talked about what led to the Lakers losing to the Sixers. According to him, LA allowed Philadelphia to go to the free-throw line too much in the first quarter and allowed them to set their defense. Overall LeBron was happy with his team’s effort.

“Besides that, we held them to 21 points in the second, 26 and 26. We gave ourselves an opportunity to win at the end and it didn’t go our way.

But I loved our fight. Just got to do a better job of keeping our hands out of the cookie jar, especially with the guy Embiid who has Harden-like magic as far as swipe moves and things of that nature,” the four-time NBA champion said.
