The Philadelphia 76ers will take on the defending NBA champions Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday. It will be a battle between the leaders of both conferences.

The Sixers lead the East with 12 wins and six losses, while the Lakers sit atop of the Western Conference with a 14-4 record.

Doc Rivers, Philadelphia’s head coach, says his team will be ready to rise to the challenge. According to him, this year’s Lakers are better than the championship team of last year.

“We’ll be ready when it comes, I’ll tell you that. They’re not a hard team to get up for. … They have LeBron James and Anthony Davis. They’re better than last year,” Rivers said, per Tom Moore.
