Seville are finally off the mark in the Liga Endesa and there is now just one undefeated team in Spain after six rounds of action.

EUROLEAGUE WATCH

Real Madrid stand alone at the top of the Liga Endesa following a 96-94 nail biter at Fuenlabrada. The visitors looked comfortable but a late flurry gave Madrid major worries, but they hung on for victory.

Felipe Reyes led Real Madrid with 22 points. Dan Clark had a game-high 23 for Fuenlabrada.

Unicaja Malaga became another victim of the in-form Joventut Badalona, who defeat their second Euroleague team in two weeks, winning 82-74.

It was comfortable for the Catalan side too, as they outclassed a normally strong Malaga side.

Sitapha Savane led Badalona with 16 points.

Valencia won easily at home, beating Rio Monbus 81-64 thanks to 19 points from Rafa Martinez and 18 from Romain Sato.

Barcelona won on the road 80-68 to a strong Tenerife side. The gulf in class was evident for the majority of the game.

Laboral Kutxa’s poor start to the Liga Endesa season continues though, as they were thrashed by Gran Canaria 93-77 in Las Palmas. It was one way traffic from the start as the hosts led 25-17 and played solid basketball to hand the Vitoria side their fourth loss of the season.

ELSEWHERE…

Gipuzkoa edged Andorra 67-64 after icing the game from the free throw line. A tightly contested battle through, the visitors from the microstate pulled to 65-64 with 2 ticks left following a deep three-pointer from Shaun Green. The hosts though won the game from the charity stripe.

Bilbao survived to take a 77-76 road win at Bruixa d’Or. They led with 45 seconds left and kept the lead until the hosts had one more chance for victory. But Zeljko Sakic’s floater didn’t drop.

Seville nabbed their first win of the season by claiming the scalp of Zaragoza 77-73, and UCAM Murcia were impressive in their 79-65 win over Estudiantes.
