After two players entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols, the Washington Wizards cancelled today’s practice “out of an abundance of caution,” the team announced.

It’s unknown who the two players are or whether they will be required to quarantine.

Getting put on the health and safety list means that the players either returned a positive or inconclusive COVID-19 test or they were close contact to someone else who tested positive.

There’s a chance that the two players will be in danger of missing the team’s next game against the Utah Jazz on Jan. 13.

This marks five straight games where players on either the Wizards or their previous opponent entered COVID-19 protocol the next day, notes Chase Hughes of NBCSports Washington.

The Wizards’ recent opponents include the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat who are both currently without several players due to health and safety protocols.
