Christian Wood is turning into one of the top big men in the NBA. The 25-year-old center was acknowledged by the Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James who was telling his teammates to hold Wood down during the game against the Houston Rockets.

“Ok ok….hold him. hold his ass…[that] guy is trouble, hold him down,” LeBron said while looking at Marc Gasol who was standing next to Wood.

He still managed to score 23 points against the Lakers but it wasn’t enough for Houston as they fell 102-120.

This season, Wood is averaging 23.3 points, 9.7 rebounds per game for the Rockets. So far, it is the best season of his career. Last season, when he was with the Pistons, Wood averaged 13.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.
