The Philadelphia 76ers learned of a positive COVID-19 test for a player during tonight’s game against the Brooklyn Nets, forcing the entire team to quarantine in New York tonight and contact trace, according to Shams Charania.
The positive test came from Seth Curry, which the team learned of near the start of the loss in Brooklyn tonight, notes Adrian Wojnarowski.
He went to an isolation room immediately and thereafter left the arena separate from the team.
Contact tracing will reportedly take place in the morning of Jan. 8.
Curry was already ruled out for the game against the Nets due to an ankle injury and labeled as day-to-day.
The 76ers are scheduled to play next on Jan. 9 against the Denver Nuggets.
The Nets, who are scheduled to play the Memphis Grizzlies on Jan. 8, are still flying to Memphis, but it’s still possible that some Nets players will be affected by contact tracing protocols.
