The Atlanta Hawks started the season on a promising note, after securing four wins in the first five games of the 2020/21 campaign.
John Collins claimed that the Hawks are not a joke anymore, following their win over the Brooklyn Nets (114-96). The new-look Hawks faced a contending team for the first time this season, and they did not disappoint.
The fourth-year forward had a strong performance against DeAndre Jordan and Jarrett Allen, as he finished the contest with 20 points and eight rebounds.
He shot 9-of-14 from the field, while he also added two threes in five attempts. At the same time, Trae Young added 21 points and seven assists with De’Andre Hunter being the team’s leading scorer with 23 points.
While it’s still early in the season, the Hawks seem ready to make some noise in the Eastern Conference, especially after adding Clint Capela, Bogdan Bogdanovic, and Danilo Gallinari to their roster in the last ten months.
