Draymond Green has yet to play his first game with the Golden State Warriors for the season. The Warriors believe that Green is going to considerably help the team become more competitive, especially on the defensive end.
However, the Warriors could be on a dilemma according to NBA insider Chris Haynes, if they end up in the bottom of the Western Conference again this season.
“I’ll say this. If Draymond comes back and they don’t fare well, we could see a scenario where Draymond will be put out in the market for trade bait,” Haynes said on Posted Up podcast. “We could see that, the way this franchise is going.
“And I know a team, oh my goodness, I know a team that would be salivating, if that was the case. I’m not going to mention it.”
Green had his share of injuries the last few seasons, however Steph Curry and Klay Thompson also missed a huge amount of games the last couple of seasons.
Thompson remains out with a season ending injury, while Curry is trying to get back on track, after being limited to five games last season.
Green is still out with a foot injury, as the Warriors expect him to return soon. Steve Kerr’s team finished last season with a league-worst 15-50 record.
