Several Houston Rockets, including John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins and possibly more, are expected to miss the team’s season opener against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to COVID-19 contact tracing.

Wall tested negative for COVID-19, but was among a group of Rockets sent home because of a positive test from another teammate, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

That player is getting tested again to confirm the positive test.

Along with Wall, Cousins and other players that could be out, Ben McLemore has also already been ruled out for the team’s first game, as he tested positive for COVID-19 days ago, notes Wojnarowski.

McLemore, however, isn’t the teammate whose positive test initiated the contact tracing today on the team.

More information on what other players will miss tonight’s game against the Thunder should become available later in the day.

The Rockets could be severely depleted to start the season.
