Ben Simmons is expected to be centerpiece in a potential James Harden trade, according to several reports. Until now, the Sixers denied any rumors regarding the inclusion of Ben Simmons in a trade package for the 2018 MVP.
Simmons was asked to address the ongoing rumors around Philadelphia’s interest for the Houston Rockets’ superstar.

“No,” Simmons said after Tuesday’s practice on if he is worried about the James Harden rumors.
“I come in every day, take it a day at a time, ready to work. I’m with my teammates. … Every day I wake up, every time I got a Sixers uniform on, I’m representing the Sixers. So my mentality never changes.
“I’m here to win a championship. That goal is never gonna change. I know things are always going to be said in the media, and rumors and things like that, but my goal is to come in every day and get better and help the team that I’m on win a championship.”
Philadelphia and Brooklyn are among the preferred destinations of James Harden. The Sixers made moves to help Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons maximize their impact on the floor.
In particular, they signed Danny Green and trade for Seth Curry, while added Dwight Howard as their back-up center. Doc Rivers and Daryl Morey have emphasized on Embiid’s and Simmons’ capability to lead the team to success throughout the offseason.
