Kevin Durant will face his former team in the opening night of the 2020/21 season. As a result, his former coach Steve Kerr shared his opinion on the Nets, after their impressive showing against Boston on Friday.

He also referred to Kevin Durant’s form claiming he looked exactly the same, after sitting out last season due to a ruptured Achilles.

“Which was kind of scary for the rest of the league. Brooklyn really showed the potential that they have,” Kerr said on Brooklyn’s performance in the last preseason game.

“And more than anything, I was thrilled to see Kevin look exactly the same.”

Durant registered 25 points at the TD Garden on Friday, shooting 9-for-16 from the field. Kyrie Irving also came up strong with 17 points, five rebounds and seven assists.

The Warriors will face the Nets at the start of the NBA regular season on Tuesday in a matchup at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
