French international Mickael Gelabale could be on his way to Turkish side Besiktas according to sources in Istanbul.

Besiktas are currently negotiating a contract deal for Gelabale, who won a bronze medal at the recent FIBA World Cup with France, where he averaged 6.1 points and 2.3 rebounds a game.

Gelabale took to Twitter just before the World Cup to squash rumours of him joining Galatasaray. He also stated that he was a free agent.

The 31-year-old spent last season with Khimki Moscow Region after being waived by the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he spent seven months.
