Frank Vogel opened up about LeBron James and Anthony Davis sitting out the first two preseason games of the Los Angeles Lakers.
Vogel said James and Davis will likely play in the last two preseason games against the Phoenix Suns next week. He noted, though, the target is to not push both superstars “too far too fast”, due to the short offseason.
“When we start (regular season) games, those guys will be ready to go,” Vogel told reporters, via Mike Trudell of Spectrum Sportsnet.
Even without James and Davis, the Lakers defeated the Clippers in their preseason opener on Friday (81-87).
