Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said Draymond Green and rookie center James Wiseman did not practice today.

“I will not comment on that any further. You can make your own deductions,” Kerr said when asked about Wiseman’s absence, via ESPN’s Cassidy Hubbarth.

“It’s unfortunate. But it’s just the way it goes,” Kerr said, regarding Wiseman’s absence at the start of his first NBA season. “Our coaching staff has been showing him tape the last few days. He’s still getting some homework in. It’s not ideal, but nothing’s ideal for anyone in 2020.”

Warriors GM Bob Myers announced on Dec. 1 that two players tested positive for COVID-19 and while they can’t reveal who tested positive, Green and Wiseman were reportedly the only players to miss practice.

After those two players return from quarantine, they will still need “several days” before being cleared to practice, Kerr noted.

Players must pass a cardiac screening before resuming full-team workouts due to the nature of the virus.
