Jimmy Abraham (165-PG-5, 8 Southwest Minnesota State University) is an explosive true point guard who can play the 1 and 2 position.

I’m originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma and I was mentored by the late Wayman Tisdale and my AAU coach John Starks.

I’m a good scorer who’s able to get in the lane and pull up or go all the way to the hoop. My jump shot is above average but what I enjoy most is creating shots for my teammates.

Junior college was a great humbling experience for me because in high school I played on a good team for a good coach and earned first team all-district my junior and senior year. Going to a junior college where we had players from overseas who were 24 years old and American players who were 21 already, made me mature quickly my freshman year. My sophomore season I dedicated myself to making my teammates better and led the team in minutes, steals, field goal percentage, three point percentage, threes pointers made, and I was second in points, and assist. My sophomore season I was responsible for guarding the other team’s best guard no matter what size or position they played so I really learned what competing for a full game on the defensive end meant. I had to end my college career early for some reasons at Southwest Minnesota State University and only played one year.

I never stop training during my transfer back home to Texas. I attended Texas A&M Corpus Christi for one year and graduated with a psychology degree. During that time I trained with pro players from overseas and guys who played in the D league that were waiting to get picked up and I gained a lot of confidence. During that time they taught me how to scout myself by watching my old game films and that taught me how to become a true floor general.

Camp I have attended to gain exposure?

After the school year I joined a couple local pro am leagues, played in pro exposure camps in Houston and Las Vegas and gained a lot of experience. After the Las Vegas camp I was blessed with a great opportunity and I attend a private workout for three NBA D league teams in September 2014.

How does a summer workout day look like for you on and off the court?

Right now I’m just Training two times a day focusing on skill development and cardio. Off the court I just stretch my muscles three times a day.

If you could see yourself in a few sentences as to why any team should want to have you, how would you describe yourself?

I am a good teammate who’s ready to learn from my coaching staff and who is welling to do whatever it takes to get better and make everyone else better. I’m a very hungry player who’s ready to compete again and win.

What are your goals?

My goal is to win a lot of championships at the top level and beat the top teams in the world.

You have never played for a European team yet. What fascinates you most about getting the chance to play in Europe?

What fascinates me the most about playing European or any type of pro basketball is the opportunity to compete and play with a group of guys who will become my brothers.
