Free agent forward Markieff Morris has announced on Twitter that he is staying with the Los Angeles Lakers.
“Run it back! #Lakeshow,” Morris tweeted.
Morris will reportedly sign a one-year deal to return to the Lakers, according to Shams Charania.
The Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers were both in pursuit of Morris.
The 31-year-old averaged 9.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game in 58 total games last season and will help further solidify the Lakers bench.
All that’s left for the Lakers to do is officially sign Anthony Davis, as it’s just a matter of how long he signs for.
