Free agent Robin Lopez has agreed to terms with the Washington Wizards on a one-year deal, according to Keith Smith of Yahoo Sports.

Lopez, 32, joins the Wizards after one season with the Milwaukee Bucks where he averaged 5.4 points, 2.4 rebounds and 14.5 minutes per game.

The Wizards get a defensive-minded center in Lopez, something the team was targeting in free agency.

Lopez, who has played 832 games in his NBA career, will likely be the backup to Thomas Bryant and bring a solid veteran presence to the team.
