Kyle Kuzma is expecting a ‘sizeable deal’ from the Los Angeles Lakers in the offseason, according to Brian Windhorst of ESPN.

Kuzma, who won the 2020 NBA title with the Lakers in October, is eligible to sign a rookie-scale extension with the franchise this summer.

“Then you got Kyle Kuzma, who is extension eligible, still has a year left on his contract but is extension eligible. And from what I understand, he is expecting a sizable deal, hoping for a sizable deal,” Windhorst said on the Brian Windhorst & The Hoop Collective podcast, via Heavy.

Kuzma averaged 12.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists last season.

If Kuzma does not agree on a contract extension with the Lakers, he will become an unrestricted free agent in 2021.
