The Philadelphia 76ers went on a full recalibration of their front office and coaching staff with Daryl Morey and Doc Rivers being given president and head coach duties, respectively.
During Daryl Morey’s introductory press conference, the Sixers new head coach made it clear that Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid can win together.
“We have to change the narrative,” Rivers said, via NBA insider Tim Bontemps. “They haven’t won yet. It’s not that they can’t win.”
Many trading rumors arose around the future of the Sixers’ dynamic duo, after the team’s disappointing first-round exit in the 2020 postseason.
The Sixers parted ways with coach Brett Brown after six seasons, and they are ready to evaluate their star power under a new regime.
