While the free agent market is expected to be ‘dry’ this season, several people turn their heads to next season’s free agency with Giannis Antekounmpo being available, if he does not sign a contract extension the next few months.

The Athletic asked several people around the league about a wide range of issues with one agent sharing his opinion around the back-to-back MVP free agency.

(via USA Today Sports):

“They’re on the clock with Giannis. I think it would be they just have too much at stake. They have potential championships hanging in the balance if you lose this guy and I think he’s going to want to see some kind of improvement from them.

I think Chris Paul, financially they’d have to figure it out, but he’s exactly what they need there.”

Chris Paul led a relatively young OKC roster to the fifth seed of the Western Conference. He was one of the best players in the clutch with the Thunder being the best team during the last five minutes of the game.

The veteran star could be the key for the Milwaukee Bucks to contend for a championship next season. However, Milwaukee is not expected to be the only team to show interest.

And Paul is exactly that. Paul is considered the likeliest star to get traded this offseason and the Bucks surely could take advantage of the situation, as OKC are going to rebuild.

The Bucks would lose depth, but for a player of Paul’s caliber, it’s a risk Milwaukee may need to take.
