The Orlando Magic are interested in dealing for New York Knicks combo guard Dennis Smith Jr, per Marc Berman of NY Post.

The third-year guard may be part of a larger deal that may include the Knicks pick, who might look to trade down in the 2020 NBA Draft.

The North Carolina State product joined the Knicks in January 2019 as part of the blockbuster trade that sent Kristaps Porzingis to the Mavericks.

Smith Jr. may need a reboot, after the Mavericks selected him as the ninth pick of the 2017 Draft. He received a career-low 15.8 minutes per game in Knicks’ uniform, as he had to deal with injuries and personal issues in his first season with the team.

He averaged 5.5 points, 2.9 assists and 2.3 rebounds shooting 34.1 percent from the field and 29.6 percent from three-point range.
