The Cleveland Cavaliers are preparing for the draft, which will take place in November. According to cleveland.com Chris Fedor, the Cavs submitted a list of the players they prefer to interview.

The report suggests LaMelo Ball is on the top of that list followed by Deni Avdija and Isaac Okoro, However, the Cavs hold the No. 5 pick, so Ball may be off the board by the time that they are on the clock.

“According to a source, the Cavs – and other teams – must submit a list to the league with names they would like to interview, and then they are later informed who they get. Sources say the Cavs’ preference list is Ball, Avdija and Okoro – in that order.”

Ball admitted last week he hadn’t met with the Cavs. The franchise selected two guards on the last two occasions picking up Colin Sexton and Darius Garland.

The Cavaliers finished with one of the worst records in the NBA last season and as a result, they will enter the third consecutive NBA Draft lottery.

After the end of consecutive title runs with LeBron James, Cleveland gathered a great amount of young talent, headlined by Collin Sexton, Kevin Porter Jr. and Darius Garland.

They surrounded their young core with the veteran presence of Kevin Love, Tristan Thompson and Andre Drummond.
