The Los Angeles Lakers veteran center Dwight Howard is back to the NBA Finals after eight years. The last time he reached this stage was back in 2012 with the Orlando Magic.

Howard talked about how it feels to be playing in the NBA Finals for such a storied franchise like the Lakers. The former number one draft pick revealed that he is excited to be back.

“It was just a blessing to be back in the Finals. It’s a long road to get here. Like I said earlier, not everybody gets the chance to play in the Finals. This is my second time in the Finals and I’ve been in the league for 16 years,” Howard said.

“So it shows no matter how great of a talent you are it’s one of the hardest things to accomplish. You got to stay always focused and locked in and always stay humble and keep your eyes on the prize no matter how long it takes to get there.”
